Enter your Essex piano’s serial number to find its year of manufacture and age. Essex pianos are designed by Steinway & Sons, but production is outsourced to Pearl River in China, or before 2005, Young Chang in South Korea.
The serial number is found underneath the music desk on the plate of grand pianos, and on the top of the plate of upright pianos when you open the top lid.
